Hmm nobody’s denying Apache is a wonderful organization but FWIK Confluent is not like other companies that fork a open-source project and do not contribute back to the OSS community. They definitely are a frontrunner to me with contributing to Kafka and evangelizing about it in meetups or conferences. Not sure why you don’t find them “awesome” !
